Webinar: How to Increase COVID-19 Vaccine Uptake in Schools through Community Collaboration
National Resource Center for Refugees, Immigrants, and Migrants (NRC-RIM)
Webinar utilizes a case study from Dekalb County, Georgia to offer practical tips on how to develop and sustain meaningful partnerships between local school districts, community-based organizations, health departments, and other community groups to reduce COVID-19. The webinar focuses on increasing equitable access to vaccines and health services for school-aged children and their families, particularly among refugee, immigrant, and migrant communities. In the case study, the community coalition used superhero themed vaccination events to make getting vaccinated a fun, memorable, and worry-free experience for young children. The webinar is one hour long and is available here: Be a Superhero: How to Increase COVID-19 Vaccine Uptake in Schools through Community Collaboration | NRC-RIM and the slides are available for download.
