Toolkit: Embedding Cultural Communications in Health Departments
National Resource Center for Refugees, Immigrants, and Migrants (NRC-RIM)
Toolkit provides guidance for health departments to embed and strengthen a cultural communications infrastructure to transmit timely, consistent, reliable, culturally, and linguistically appropriate information to refugee, immigrant, and migrant communities. The toolkit includes five stages for embedding cultural communications within a department, including ensuring an enabling environment, preparation, recruitment and hiring, retention and relationships, and quality improvement and reassurance. Each step offers guidance and real-world examples. The toolkit is available here Embedding Cultural Communications in Health Departments | NRC-RIM
