The Power of Partnership

Date posted:

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the CDC Foundation partnered with CDC and community-based organizations (CBOs) across the country to increase vaccine confidence and access in all communities, especially those where disparities exist. The CDC Foundation is currently supporting 123 CBOs through the Partnering for Vaccine Equity (P4VE) program. These organizations are trusted resources with long-standing relationships in the neighborhoods they serve, and their ongoing efforts have resulted in over 200,000 vaccinations for COVID-19 and flu. The creativity and personal dedication the CBOs bring to this difficult work is truly inspiring. Whether it is by providing vaccine opportunities to hundreds of people at a neighborhood gathering, or by simply taking the time to listen to the concerns and struggles of one person—these organizations work tirelessly every single day.

The P4VE team created the video CDC Foundation Partners with Community Organizations for Vaccine Equity, part of a video series on the Foundation’s social platforms to tell the story of this innovative program and the work these incredible groups have done.
