Partnering for Health at a Thai New Year Festival
The Chinese American Chamber of Commerce (CACC) in Minnesota partnered with the Wat Thai Temple during the SONGKRAN Festival (Thai New Year) to offer free educational materials and COVID-19 vaccinations to over 30,000 attendees. By working with trusted faith leaders, CACC was able to reach more people and increase vaccine confidence within the local Thai community.
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the CDC Foundation partnered with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and community-based organizations across the country to increase access and confidence in vaccines across all communities, including those where disparities exist. In honor of the ongoing Partnering for Vaccine Equity (P4VE) program and the tireless and creative efforts of these organizations, this video highlights some of the work these incredible groups have done.
