Video for social media explains Paxlovid as a treatment for COVID-19. Paxlovid can help prevent severe disease and may also lower the risk of long COVID. It's currently authorized for people ages 12 and older who are diagnosed with mild to moderate COVID-19 and are at high risk for severe disease. Paxlovid does not cause COVID-19 rebound and is one of the few COVID-19 treatment options that still works against Omicron strains.
