Factsheet discusses the risk for myocarditis following the COVID-19 virus compared to the vaccine. Although very rare, myocarditis can occur after receiving the mRNA vaccines. However, the factsheet explains that the chances of developing myocarditis are very low and individuals have a higher risk of developing myocarditis and being hospitalized from a COVID-19 infection - 4x to 8x higher risk of myocarditis from COVID-19 infection in all ages.
