Since February 2020, The Pui Tak Center, a Chicago-based community partner of the Asian Health Coalition, has hosted over 150 vaccination clinics and vaccinated over 16,500 people. One winter morning, the vaccine clinic’s team felt certain that they wouldn’t get much traffic due to a big snowstorm that was creating icy, treacherous roads. But despite the weather, several people showed up for their booster shots before the clinic even opened. Ultimately close to 30 people were vaccinated that day—a welcome surprise for this dedicated care team.
