Webinar: How to Be a Trusted Messenger for Vaccine Conversations – Community Health Workers
Webinar: How to Be a Trusted Messenger for Vaccine Conversations – Community Health Workers
National Resource Center for Refugees, Immigrants, and Migrants (NRC-RIM)
Webinar uses the Trusted Messenger PBS documentary to guide discussions with community health workers/promotores about addressing vaccine concerns with patients. A portion of the video is provided, then there is the opportunity to provide suggestions on how to respond to people in the video. This webinar is part of a campaign intended to train the workforce on how to become a trusted messenger. While the webinar focus is COVID-19, the same principles can be used for conversations around other vaccines as well. The webinar is approximately 35 minutes long and is available here: Trusted Messengers: Community Health Workers | NRC-RIM. Facilitation and discussion guides are available for download.
