Report: State of Vaccine Confidence Insights - RSV Vaccination in Older Adults
Report: State of Vaccine Confidence Insights - RSV Vaccination in Older Adults
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
Report outlines factors influencing RSV vaccine confidence and uptake in older adults and provides suggestions on how to improve knowledge about RSV-related illness and the RSV vaccine. Three themes are covered: consumers report knowing few people who have had RSV-related illness, but are concerned about the virus; consumers have limited knowledge about RSV; and low trust in the FDA, CDC, and pharmaceutical companies may impact vaccine uptake. Health departments can build these themes into engagement with older adults.
