Report: Serving Diverse Elders - Strategies for Meaningful Inclusion in Service Planning and Delivery
The National Consortium on Aging Resources for Seniors’ Equity
Report highlights strategies, resources, and organizational success stories to assist in planning for outreach and services to elder populations, especially those in five diverse groups: American Indian and Alaska Native elders; Asian American, Pacific Islander American, and Native Hawaiian elders; African American and Black elders; Hispanic and Latino/a elders; and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) elders. The goal of this report is to help understand the unique challenges and needs of diverse elders as they age and to provide tools and resources to promote inclusion during state and local planning. The report concludes with best practices for working with diverse elders.
