Talking points and FAQs discuss the impact of ending public health emergencies. On May 5, the World Health Organization declared the end of the global public health emergency for COVID-19. On May 11, the U.S. officially ended its national COVID-19 public health emergency. While the end of the public health emergency doesn’t mean that COVID-19 is gone, it does mean that access to tests, vaccines, and treatments will change.
